You know, your comments about this photo, "feel like eating cheese" are stupid and misplaced. If you're an MD and you posted this, then all I can say is you know you'll make a few bucks off this patient. And that's what it's really all about....isn't it doc?

hey, i agree with what heather said. if u belong to any medical profession, it is very inappropriate to post it here while at the same time giving mocking comments. Just put yourself in the patient's situation. what would you feel if they say "feel like eating cheese" on your infected part? mocked. Anyway, if you're not part of the medical profession, it would be SOMEHOW excusable. But if you are an MD or a nurse, well, maybe review your code of ethics again eh?

Can I just comment on the odor that commonly emits during the draining of these types of abscesses. While acting as a student medical assistant, I've had the 'pleasure' to see these types of things get drained. And the Odor emitted during these drainings still make me cringe. It fills a room in seconds and continues to haunt my dreams.

and as for the whole "ooh your an MD thing". Lighten the ef up ppl. This person agreed to have this picture published, and I'm sure their not currently surfing the net looking to see what ppl have to say about it. It's clearly a disgusting thing to have on the back of your neck, and I'd rather have that stuff referred to as cheese than as a revolting mixture of dead white blood cells, killed tissues, and bacteria. So be thankful that the MD who posted this put it online for your entertainment/education/whatever you-take-it-as
